Hi, when I try to install OCR Components I get the following message: Line -1: Error: Unable to execute the external program. The system cannot find the file specified. When I click "OK" the installer vanishes. Please Help

Sounds like it can't find the Image Magic setup file for whatever reason.

Try downloading this file directly, and place it on your desktop. Then try again.

And if you keep having the problem, just install manually.

This may be a bug with one of the install file corrupted.

I'm have to get a team of Beta Testers I guess, it's weird cause everything worked on the first 2 computers I tested on. But I tested on another computer last night when making the patch, and got the same problem you got.

Can you give more detail about your OS setup for reference, so I could try to fix the issues for the next release.

Can you describe what you are doing step by step.

It's very difficult to tell what is happening after small snippets of info.

In C:\Program Files\Logical AI\ there is a file called PokerAcademy.ini.
Open this file with notepad and change the entry 'Debug=NO' to 'Debug=YES'.

See what happens then. Feel free to send screen shots of Poker Academy. I assume you have read the FAQ on the PA setup...

EDIT: Another thing to consider is are you connected to the database and does it have at least 60-100 hands in it. If not then you can't retrieve correct opponent ranges to feed to the Stove...

Ok Poker Academy setup is correct. I am connected to database - I can view my hand histories in Poker Academy. Changed 'Debug=YES'. Just played more than 100 hands - no change. See pic.

I don't know what you think I can gather from the image you have posted other than the felt color.

I still don't know what happens.

I need to know what you did step by step, and what the result is.

Did you set the database up?
Did you play enough hands to get a rating icon?
Did you select your name in the preferences tab in Tracker?
Are you getting reading on the debug message box?
If not what readings are missing?

Start getting prolific with your responses, I don't want to pull this stuff out of you with pliers...

Maybe I should ask specific questions and then we might make some progress. What does SciTE and IMDisplay do. I run both of them, but I don't see any action there. I setup Poker Academy and Poker Tracker exactly acording to the vid. Poker Academy Converter works fine. The communication between these 3 programs works. I play hands manually on PA and Poker Academy Converter converts them automatically and PT imports them automatically every 1 minute. PokerStove runs fine, but I don't see any communication between it and PA or any other program. There is a definite problem here. LogicalAI runs, I load formula and start without problems - like in the vid- there are 2 icons in the system tray. Every 20 seconds it askes for if I want to register or continue. Then I click continue. i set the database in PT up correctlly, I have a rating icon, I did select my name in preferences tab. I don't understand your last to questions. Only message I get is the register message and the error message as you can see in the photo. Hope this helps.

That is excellent, you are almost there it sounds like. There are 2 icons in the system tray, 1 for the GUI, 1 for the calculator/bot.

Now that happens because the calculator/bot part is crashing, and the crash guard built into the GUI restarts it every 20 seconds. Every time it starts, you get that pop up. It's not supposed to crash. I still don't know what pic you are referring to with the error message, give be a direct link to it. It's most likely crashing cause you installed the ImageMagick incorrectly. Install it again and make sure you tick the bottom check box on this window:


Did you turn the debug on? Do you get a pop up message box?

ImageMagick was installed right, but I reinstalled it. It is still crashing. The error message I get is: AutoIt Error Line -1: Error: The requested action with this object has failed. I don't know what object it is refering too. The debug in C:\Program Files\Logical AI\PokerAcademy I set to YES. Don't know about another debug.

It only communicates with 2 objects. 1 is ImageMagick, and the other is Microsoft Jet for the db connection. Microsoft Jet is standard in XP SP2. What operating system are you on?

Oh OK. I do have XP SP2 installed. Is Microsoft Jet involved with Poker Academy Converter because that works 100%

No PAConverter has nothing to do with it. The bot is constantly making queries to the tracker db to retrieve table stats, etc. It worked out of the box on this computer, so...

Probably the easiest thing is installing the .Net framework, cause it comes packaged with everything that might be missing.

I have Net framework installed. pokerandroid required it.

The other possibility, is the default table name specified in the .ini is crashing it. I don't know if you read the FAQ about the .ini, but it's definitely a possibility. Try changing that, or naming your table to match. It could easily be the culprit.

It does not happen every time, but it has happened to me on a couple of occasions for sure.
